The Rainy Day Fund pays daytime staffing and food expenses on extremely cold or rainy days when the County nighttime Winter Shelter is open. It has also opened emergency nighttime shelters in churches on very cold and rainy nights when the County nighttime Winter Shelter is not yet open.

The Mayor’s Fund is spent on social services for people experiencing homelessness in the City of Long Beach.
